CARY - AAIPharma, a contract research organization, will utilize software from SAS as part of its service offerings for pharmaceutical, medical device and life science firms.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
AAIPharma will utilize SAS Drug Development solutions for clinical data management, biostatistics and other applications.
“SAS has a proven track record in supplying effective, easy-to-use software for the life sciences industry,” said Anne Wiles, AAIPharma senior vice president for Data Systems and Processes. “We’re looking to take advantage of SAS’ expertise and the great working relationship we have already forged to help accelerate and streamline the management and analysis of our clinical trials data.”
AAIPharma, which recently emerged from bankruptcy and went private, is in the midst of a global expansion effort.
SAS Drug Development is used to integrate data and analysis for drug regulatory submission and to explore possible new markets or products.
