Raleigh, N.C. — Venture capital-backed Intervolve is taking its transactional data software into the mobile world.
The Raleigh-based company is rolling out “Mobile Warehouse,” a solution that the company says wholesalers can use to improve “efficiency and accuracy of daily warehouse activities.”
Intervolve focuses on the beverage industry.
“Inventory control and warehouse efficiency are more important than ever as beverage wholesalers try to manage more products,” said Chief Executive Officer Bill Kaluza. “Wholesalers are looking for ways to make their warehouse processes faster and less prone to error, especially when it comes to taking physical counts. With Route Accounting System Mobile Warehouse, users will be able to scan barcodes and enter counts using a wireless scanning gun, making it so much faster to count the warehouse.”
The software, built on Windows CE platform, provides audio and visual feedback during data collection and allows simultaneous counting by multiple users.
